Elrond has a tps of 5.4k; Solana has a TPS of 50k
Elrond has a TPS of *5.4k/shard*, with built-in adaptivity allowing to easily exceed 50k TPS if needed.
Current mainnet setup can process 15k TPS NOW, but design enables elegant real time setup update to increase throughput based on demand.
Happy to have a more detailed chat.

There's also the 263k tps achieved during testnet with 51 shards.

BTW Solana has today 137 validators, seems to me way less decentralized than elrond with 2169 nodes

5.4k TPS / shard.
What about peak performance of ?
More than 1500 nodes running out of 164 cities from 29 countries were grouped into 50 shards and they gradually processed an increasing number of transactions, with a performance peak of 263k TPS.
Scalability!

Old tweet, but that node node is actually 3200, with a waiting list.

elrond has a peak tps of 263k , solana can't go beyond 50k

1) Solana can go beyond 50k -- that current number isn't fully optimized, and also scales into time.
2) the Elrond number you're quoting is using a ton of shards. Using many shards makes it more difficult to deal with, BUT also you could build many Solana shards if you want!
