Scaling layer 1 implies increasing attack surface. Which increases big investors/capital/value scepticism. You can counter this with centralisation (like EOS?), but the whole point of “decentralisation” is lost. So layer 2 scaling looks best to me atm. Happy to be proven wrong!
Don’t want to sound like a maxi, but they do seem right to me on this point. Fewer people validating the ledger implies increased attack surface. Just coz larger the ledger, fewer people able to validate it...
