To be clear I'm not trying to claim that ETH is less decentralized! I'm just saying that I think it's actually kind of unclear how to compare them and unclear which is more distributed.

Ah so if your claim is that ETH 1 is centralized and and so is Solana, but ETH 2 will be good, that's consisent (though I'd disagree). Is that what you're saying? FWIW I don't think anyone reading your comment read "ETH" and though "obviously he means ETH 2.0!"
