So if you go to break.solana.com/game?cluster=t you can send about 5x as many transactions per second as the entire ETH network processes. That doesn't prove if you can get the other 200x (though you likely can), but it's pretty powerful. (You can also use mainnet if you have SOL.)

There are a lot of things that are hard to project out (e.g. network effect). Throughput is actually relatively easy to test.
