Was trading on FTX today, price hit my liquidation, position said "liquidating" then disappeared. Went to eat some lunch and came back to see my position was back from the dead and only 50% of it had been liquidated.
Not sure how but I'm not complaining

We only liquidate when we have to--we'll start slowly if we can, and if you get back above liquidation point we'll stop.

The insurance fund is to protect against anyone else being responsible for liquidation price (e.g. clawbacks); the liquidation engine is mostly responsible for the execution.

I had a similar experience when I was first testing. I smiled and cursed Arthur 😂

Fun fact - On average if you set your stop one penny above you liquidation level typically you end up with a 50% loss (on isolated margin)
