Where is this chart from and what methodology? Looks too variable to be from the pools themselves. Nearly all hashrate estimation from block times is terrible

If you have a Poisson process with mean 10 minutes then on a 1 day timescale the stdev will be roughly 2.5%--so I think most of this is not just explained by the randomness of mining luck.

I think miners are moving to Sichuan right now with rainy season starting (cheap power). My guess hash rate will fluc because of logistical reasons.

Yeah that sounds right--it'll be interesting to see where it ends up!
But hard to tell exactly what to make of the daily fluctuations now I think...
