Current status: getting documents notarized. Lawyers are having a spirited argument in Chinese around me about whether I’m Sam or Samuel, and what a middle name is. Next step is to teach the Turkish consulate what a hyphenated last name is.

Oh boy seems like we’re now discussing how much has to be on the same page as the signature line. Or possibly the difference between notarized, verified, and certified. A bit hard for me to tell, only 10% of the words are in English.

Lol good luck with that. I got married in turkey and they insisted on interchanging my fathers last and first name because they wouldn’t understand that if there is a comma between two name, the name before the comma is the last name loll
