So... I can see how it might be easy to love it, but to be honest every time I visit the homeless situation ruins it for me. It's seriously scary in many areas of the city....

I feel the same way about LA and NY haters. SF is beautiful and has so much going for it, but it’s also a difficult place to love (one has to work for it). And one feels that it could easily be so much better for everyone…

Oh yeah definitely agree! I feel like people are often like "man these things about SF suck". And they do! But I also feel like, when you put the good together with the bad, net it's a really cool place. I haven't spent much time in LA, but totally agree on NYC.
