Lots of people disagree on politics, COVID-19, etc. But I suspect that most people will agree, fair or not, this is pretty brutal for Trump politically. Recessions and pandemics don't tend to be good for articulate incumbents. They're worse for Trump. ftx.com/president2020

If he'd stuck to that message from the beginning this might even be _good_ for him politically. But this original messaging really paints him into a corner here.

100%, had he taken that approach from the start containment wouldve been possible. Instead major fallout is coming: frozen economy, bankruptcies, over capacity hospitals, lots of deaths, medical costs, etc. I have a hard time seeing him making it thru this w/o significant luck.
