Lots of people disagree on politics, COVID-19, etc. But I suspect that most people will agree, fair or not, this is pretty brutal for Trump politically. Recessions and pandemics don't tend to be good for articulate incumbents. They're worse for Trump. ftx.com/president2020

Yes. And winning your base (which is almost guaranteed these days) is not enough to win the election so he needs swing voters & states to believe his framing. That's going to be a tough sell if things deteriorate, especially in those states.
