I’m a little surprised by this, I would have thought you’d have a “break the glass” type of protocol in your risk model. Doesn’t mean I’m not about to go trade with FTX right now, just a little surprised.

Any risk model should include a plan for catastrophic events. That plan should cover a wide range of things, in this context a way to handle huge increases in order flow is one of them. Just like having backup servers, faraway from your regular ones, ready to go in minutes.
