At long last: FTX now auto-credits smart contract ETH deposits! Gone are the days of having to contact support for your Bitstamp transfers.
FWIW this is surprisingly rare; I know Bittrex, Bitfinex, and Bitstamp support it, but most don't.

theres no good excuse not to support it, its just crawling through trace/internal txes of deposit address.

not supporting it just screams "we have no crypto devs on staff" imo, even then ive seen normie devs build out support for it just by using eth docs. split out a separate service to handle it so doesnt affect load in other parts of system. ez

Yeah no reason the matching engine has to be processing deposits :P
