Agreed--I think we often see a pattern where, right when a market starts, people are willing to pay high fees (think 1% crypto fees in 2017), but as it matures services charging higher fees die out (see the volume death of high fee exchanges since then)

Compared to the stock market, crypto exchanges have another few orders of magnitude of volume to grow but also an order of magnitude or two of fees to reduce. I'd expect these to go hand in hand.
