I would look at funding growth rate, i.e. if the rate at which shorts pay long is increasing, short OI is probably growing / long OI diminishing, and the trend probably bearish

It depends but it means that bears have profited *too much* already and to compansate this (so to move closer to the equilibrium, which is one of the basic "truth"s of the market), bears are paying bulls. People do not understand this makes me crazy. Whether this is 🐻/🐃 varies
