FTX is planning to add Alt vs BTC markets soon (e.g. XRP/BTC futures). Currently all settlement on FTX is in USD. Should the ALT/BTC futures:

We can and probably will--but fundamentally there has to be a 'default' because, if one person owes another PnL, one wants to pay in BTC, and the other wants to receive in USD, someone has to pay the conversion cost

I really wouldn't care what default was if I could change it. To be able to settle in BTC when I'm bullish and usd when I'm bearish would be a game changer.
