So using stdev signals on moving averages makes me a quant trader? Does the quantitative part refers to taking lots of trades (that fit setups on LTFs I suppose) ?

Are bollinger bands supported by statistical studies? What I mean by that is, roughly: there are rigorous studies, with decently low p-values, that demonstrate a trade is positive expected value.
