Most often, out-sized orders on either side that appear and reappear like that are bots at support/resistance levels.

ya could be... but someone trusting a bot after all the hacks in the space with millions or tens of millions of dollars is a little reckless. i tend to lean toward handmade orders in those cases but i agree algo is huge

When I say bot, I mean algo from a larger, professional market participant.

A bot for sure. Too fast and for too long. It keeps bidding in blocks of 50 btc, sells 1 to 20 and disappears until 3 seconds later. It would look like distributing but why not selling the whole 50 and keep populating the book instead?

Hi, the 50btc blocks bot still at it for the last 3 days. Seems like they are keeping the price from going up. Is that arbitrage or something fishy?

eh I don't think you have a ton of impact there, guessing it's just a dumb market making bot? But not sure...
Ya 50 is pretty weak. Small whales battling big ones have been losing a lot lately. This stagnation is driving me crazy right now. Everyone is scared to make a move
