Why are p-plate motorcyclists restricted to LAMS bikes but car p-platers not under similar restrictions regarding how powerful their cars can be?

i believe an under-25yo p plater is restricted to 6 cylinders and under, and no forced induction (apart from turbo diesel)

There is just not enough incentive to NOT do the wrong thing. Loss of licence and/or fines will never deter. Impound thier vehicles and crush them and make the driver push the button!

I'm only 15, but there's no way i'd do something like that. What an absolute bonehead.... if he had more than 4 brain cells then he wouldn't have lost his car, license and fined a truckload of money. I wonder how is parents reacted....
