It’s about time people started taking responsibility for their own safety by looking both ways when crossing roads by not staring at their phones at all times or wearing noise cancelling headphones without being aware of their surroundings. It can’t all be up to the motorists .

Motorists need to anticipate that a pedestrian won’t even bother to look as they have headphones on and heads buried in their phones. Case in point I go to enter a carpark and anticipate a young woman head in phone didn’t even look up and nearly collected by car exiting

Meanwhile young woman was totally oblivious and kept walking without a care in the world.

Adelaide pedestrians generally lack a sense of self preservation, they wonder onto main roads without bothering to look either way. They don’t seem to mind if a 2 ton vehicle happens to be moving towards them at high speeds.
