@SAPoliceNews this morning on my cycle training ride to Balhannah on Greenhill Rd, at least 20 cars passed me at 80km/h closer than 1.5m, 3 overtook me on blind corners over double white lines. What is "Operation Safe Cycling" doing to protect my safety? @7NewsAdelaide

Thx for the prompt response, it really was quite unexpected. It is an epidemic of ignorant, arrogant and unlawful driving. Every cyclist has this happen to them every day multiple times. With all due respect the onus should not be on cyclists to prove it, but SAPOL to prevent it.

Anecdotally, cyclists report being turned away from police stations with “don’t bother” responses, even with video of dangerous passes... very disheartening.
