Just kicked off #RoadTrip from VA ->NE. The chapel my folks got married in in ‘67 on the Univ of Nebr Lincoln campus is abandoned & in disrepair. I’m on a quest to save some of the stained glass windows b4 they end up n the dump.

HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE
After a full 16 hours (10 hours at a standstill) on I-95 North to go 60 miles, the 4 pups & I made it home safe & sound, if not a bit tired & hangry.
We’re the lucky ones. There are still 1000’s of ppl stuck in gridlock out there on I-95.

Am at exit 143 on I-95 NB. I got on at exit 130 last night. It has taken me 13 hours to go 13 miles. Still rolling slowly northbound.

7:22am - still haven’t moved an inch. NB traffic on I-95 near Stafford still gridlock. SB traffic moving, barely, a few cars at a time. I’m 11 hours in to this ordeal. Many out here have been stuck much longer. It is increasingly dangerous the longer we are stranded out here.

Our sunset visit to this week was the first time we had my mom out of the house since March.
