@Ryanair couple travelling with a 9 month old baby and when checking in allocate seats in different rows when there is clearly seats together available. Purely on the basis that in order to sit together we’ll have to pay more!! Joke airline
Hi Kevin, seats are allocated at random at the time of check-in, therefore we cannot guarantee you will be seated together unless you choose to sit together at the time of booking. AR

Yep I could understand if there was only 2 seats left on the plane but when you click to change seat for a fee it clearly shows that half of the seats are still available. Purely a money making ploy
