Here's the thing - I'm not a number 1 fan - but if they have " hard landings" they aren't all that bad. A soft landing can often mean the pilot has misjudged the runway threshold. In poor weather a hard landing (within reason) can also put the aircraft on a firm footing :)

Also - from a safety perspective (I don't work for Ryanair) the majority of accidents happen during take off and landing. Ryanair mainly operate a shorhaul network. I know some of their fuel practices in the past have been dicey - yet they still have an unblemished record.

For a shorthaul carrier that's impressive. Once again I tend to work with their competitors and have criticised FR in the past so - this is an unbiased view !
