Others work to silence experts through intimidation. Not necessarily by them, but using the miscreants that follow them. This has happened to many of us in infectious diseases and public health, and continues to this day. (2/6)

Of course it's in bad faith. Many will say one thing & privately do another. Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of NewsCorp (Fox News), jumped ahead of most global healthcare workers to get a COVID jab while his network consistently misinforms its viewers. Apparently we can’t handle the truth. We prefer denialism so we can continue to live in our comfortable tribal bubbles, cling to our destructive values & vent our fear, anger & grievances on those who disagree w/ us. As absolutists, we lack all capacity for critical thinking.
