Here is yet another example of how YouTube appears to be suppressing content from people who are subscribed to your channel. People comment on a picture post telling me to post the video, clearly not being notified it was uploaded nearly 48hrs ago.

Thanks for the info and screenshots. We'll need to look into this further and can definitely do that, any chance you also have a YouTube Channel URL for one of your subs who didn't get the notification? A specific example would be really helpful to investigate. Let us know.

I don't think you need much more evidence than the comments on the Community post of the picture to prove that people didn't see the video that was posted just 4hrs after. I don't think anything is broken, it's just settings limiting the reach of my vids. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheWestie4321/community …

I watched this video recently (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gd_J-5QBBhY …) which explains how people get notifications or not. I don't think anything is broken. My issue is that the Community tab drives more interaction to a picture, than your whole site can for a video I post just 4hrs later.

I guess I've just a little frustrated that the platform so many Creators have put so much work into over the years keeps kicking us back update after update with new hurdles to climb over.

From Creator POV, I struggling more & more to understand what's going on. I've lost all faith in the platform to be on my side, as it were. It seems you're so focused on delivering an algorithmic future, you're forgetting about the people making the content that will drive that.

It's of little wonder to me now why so many content creators are using other platforms. It's because those platforms appear to offer you the tools to SHARE your content w/ an audience. YT's steps in the last few years hinder the sharing capabilities of the platform.

If you Subscribe to a channel now, you have to click a little bell to get all notifications. That didn't used to be the case. Sharing capability lessened. Community tab allows me to share pictures which get more interaction than a video. YT is a video website!

At the end of the day, there's not much point me continuing to try and create a change because it's falling on deaf ears. Maybe it's me that needs to adapt to what's on the table in front of me.
