Persons born with HIV live healthy, normal lives because of pharmaceuticals. Childhood lymphoma is highly curable with prescription medications. I can run for miles in the freezing cold despite having asthma because of a couple pills and an inhaler. Mark Hyman is despicable.

Diet is definitely important and there are many medical implications in regards to what/how we eat. Nothing that he says is based in that actual evidence as much as it is in selling his products. It is nothing more than pseudoscience for profit.

Maybe he’s talking about serotonin? Cause a forkful of brownie works absolute wonders there. Dispense PRN.

My favorite is depression. No amount of kale or yoga or mindfulness substitutes for neurotransmitters. We’d never tell a diabetic to go walk in the woods and make a gratitude list in lieu of insulin, for f*cks sake.

Fair to a point. Though as someone battling depression right now, and someone that uses bjj as a moving meditation I will say that physical activity provides a lot of positive mental benefits that can help with depression. Not a cure, but certainly not worthless.
