Yep, I had a hard time sleeping last night, knowing this was starting up. It's sometimes hard not to fight fatigue in caring about all of this, but we can't stop! I just wish I knew what would catch fire and awaken the masses to be unrelenting in opposition.

I have to admit, I am shocked at how many people still follow Trump. And how decent people can still argue that Trump is doing what's best for the US. I'm beyond frustrated and angry.

I am too - I've tried & tried to talk to supporters in my personal circle here & have long since given up - it was getting beyond the 'she's cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs' stage. We can't just wait on Mueller-wan Kenobi though...

My aunt told me her husband still likes Trump. I was surprised. She said she thinks it's because he doesn't want to admit he was wrong. She also said she thought about divorce. She was kidding. Kinda.

There are many Trump supporters who don’t want to admit they made a mistake. There are others who are hardcore fascists/racists. And there is the fact his support has been eroding, even among his base.

Yep. The only surprise here is the collective surprise of the press. It's been obvious for some time Trump is completely owned by Putin, and now he's in a box. He can't ask "tough questions" or blame Putin/Russia in any way, so he deflects and lashes out.
