It’s a new day in Maine. As Governor said in her Inaugural address last night, “when a family, a community, a state believe in each other, help each other, love each other, great things can happen.”

75th Gov. of our great state: 198 years later & Janet T. Mills is our state’s first female governor. It was the honor of my lifetime to witness her inaugural. Gov. Mills outlined the numerous challenges, but also shared hope for how we’ll take them on. Let’s do it!

Maine is our home. Tomorrow we rise before the dawn — like the mist over the Sandy River — and seek adventure, with hope in our hearts and love in our souls for the brand new day. To all of you, and to the people of Maine, I say, welcome home. Thank you.

I fell asleep at 9 PM last night. Have yet to adjust back to the time zone. However, I think the greatest contributor was my desire to not see another second of the putrid NYE CNN broadcast. I would have hated another 3 hours of that nonsense. Happy 2019! 💁🏼‍♂️
