When Gascon talks about how Prop 47 didn’t trigger an increase in crime does anyone ask him what did, then? Or why SF car breakins skyrocketed when he was here? When Chesa panders on these points, do reporters ask him any questions about what he IS prosecuting?

Replying to @noUpside @meganrcassidy and
Property crime is down post Prop 47 (See DOJ’s open data portal). As to why car break-in’s increased, kind of hard for a DA to make a difference when the police aren’t bringing him any cases...https://www.sfgate.com/crime/article/Only-13-arrests-in-7-years-of-SF-online-auto-12526601.php …

Article: "In 2017, there were more than 30,000 car break-ins in San Francisco. In 2011, there were fewer than 11,000." Data (below) from the Economist confirms big increase in auto burgs, post-P47 (passed in 2014). Once again, you shift blame and duck facts. Just own it, Max.pic.twitter.com/Q1lwAunf01
