As revealed by , 3 SW Pa. state legislators have direct sources of income from local fracking companies, and all 3 are boosters of the industry & continue to write and support laws that decrease regulations for the natural-gas industry.

The biggest 👀 vote was Adam Raventahl (D-North Side) who supported these recent subsidies and the old subsidies for Beaver County cracker. He has a primary opponent to his left () but not sure what’s her stance on cracker plants and fracking

And its now clear where majority of Allegheny County legislators stand on future cracker plants Of 18 reps that didn't issue comment on this story, 16 voted to give subsidies to cracker plants. To my knowledge no poll has been taken on how residents feel

PA's parking protected bike lane bill is being debated today at 10:45 am today and then up for a possible vote. There is an amendment that would add layers of new road blocks to new lanes being created in Philly. Bike advocates are asking people to contact their reps.

Still can’t get over how the most nativist congressman of the last decade, is now begging Trump admin to go easier economically on a foreign country

Ned Ketyer, an anti-fracking activist from Wash County, also wasn’t shocked about these incomes. He says it’s another example of how elected reps act as boosters instead of arbiters. “I think that is the way politics is, and it is why people hate politics”

But thing is, state conflict of interest laws are so weak that it’s likely nothing these 3 lawmakers are doing is against rules. P-G wrote in 2014 about lawmakers owning natural-gas leases, although Kail’s situation appears to taking that to a new level

Activists have struggled moving state reps on fracking & myriad of health problems it causes. They know most are already all in on fracking. “In PA there is only one party: the fossil fuel party. And we are not invited” - Karen Feridun of

State Rep Josh Kail (R-Beaver) owns a 7% stake in a local company that provides equipment and consultancy to natural-gas drillers. He recently introduced a bill to lower regulations and provide tax breaks to fracking companies. Just another day in PA.

This is better than I said it. It’s not “immigration issues.” We need to stop normalizing it

Pundits saying that intentionally pointing out false claims that Latino undocumented immigrants who commit crimes are more dangerous than native Americans who commit crimes simply as “immigration issues” is a joke. It’s racist. It’s not hard to say it.

Also, I stopped watching pundit shows almost a year ago, and coming back to it even for just for a couple minutes, I am reminded of how useless it is.
