So far, while all of them spy on us, android has not micro-managed or censored apps that I am aware of. Apple always has, from the beginning.

Google has already rejected Gab on Android. There may be other examples too. Yeah, we've got a serious problem with private companies that hold far too much power censoring us. Sorry, I don't know enough to say – if they eventually got on (may still be able to dwnld it another way). I do know that Gab has faced all sorts of issues like that (payment processors for another ex) and it's representative of the challenges any new free speech pltfm will face.

I do the same thing. I don't need their damn app doing God knows what in the background when it's supposed to be turned off. Collecting location data? Accessing my text messages? F*** that.
