    What’s so frustrating is to watch as dozens walk past doing nothing, ignoring something so inconvenient to their otherwise wonderful evening. This represents the problem society faces. Apathy towards the many aggressions towards marginalised people. Those who ignore, marginalise.

    Sport is neutral? Really? Since when? Tell that to the black footballers who get racial abuse every time they walk out onto a pitch. Tell that to Serena Williams when other tennis players *cough Wozniacki* disrespect her. Neutral? Having a laugh, aren't you? 🙄

    The Olympic Committee is banning protests at the 2020 Olympics. It says "political, religious or racial propaganda" like armbands, kneeling or raising a fist will not be allowed at games or medal ceremonies because "sport is neutral."

    While teaching ‘persuasive writing’ to 14yo.s, we studied women&body hair. Lesson1: Laughter. Lesson2: More laughter. Lesson3: Distant compassion for women’s death threats/trolling. Lesson4: Admission of not caring re body hair but fear of bullying. Lesson5: Proud to defend it.

    Sometimes it’s best to stand back & let the kids take over: during a class debate abt body hair, 1kid replied to the other side:“If you don’t want death threats, then shave” And it hit the whole class like a sweeping wave- how are women equal if that’s the ultimatum?🤯
