Americans fought against Nazis during WWII but after the war, they took over the flag from the Nazis. The only difference is that Nazis never pretended to be a fighter of freedom and democracy.

As this very form of hatred reveals itself in the US, it makes little sense to not condemn it in favor of a rather empty gesture towards Russia. Gaining international political points on one level, yet allowing a growth of internal hatred as the price for that, is a bad deal.

Officially we are non aligned not neutral. Dept. of FA will claim abstaining is in keeping with non alignment. Of course the fact that all NATO countries and EU members abstained too, is purely coincidental.....,
