And trying to send Trump a message the only way he ever gets it - by watching it on TV - by leaking to cable news shows how badly last night's performance hurts both Trump's and the GOP's electoral prospects (not that he cares about the latter, only the former).
The right has spent most of today defending trumps white nationalists comments. Sad thing is that they wouldn't even have to bother with if Trump just came out and actually condemned them. Instead the national GOP leadership will waste a day defending the indefensible.
