I agree that using a geographic location or linking it to a specific ethnicity perpetuates stigma. This is something we witnessed with the "Japanese internment camps" during WWII and still see stigmas like this today promoting fear against Muslim & Islamic Americans.
These are all spineless GOP House members. They are against it because it would condemn Trump for his language regarding the COVID virus. My Oppo Pat Fallon would vote against this bill as well.
