I can tell you there are places we go, where its actually scary to wear a mask. Like literally afraid for our safety. Just for wearing a mask.

This is the result of Trump's messaging on COVID-19 from the start. His lying, gaslighting and calling it a hoax has so cemented in his base that he isn't going to go back on it at the risk of saving their lives, and they wouldn't believe him anyway.
