I have COPD and if I have to go out, I wear a mask. It's not comfortable and I need to carry my inhaler with me. But I'd rather be a bit uncomfortable, than in a hospital with a breathing tube shoved down my throat.

Indeed. I'm fighting cancer (2nd X) & take Ibrance (it's like a chemo pill) I am very thankful we have insurance thru hubby's work & it's covered. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford it! Cost on my pprwork shows cost of 14K+ for a 21 day cycle. Outrageous!
If they don't want to listen & follow the science/data, then there is only so much one can do
