My 71yr old mother is high risk. She has the liver version of Alpha-1 and has already had a liver transplant because of it. She was taken to the hospital last night for non related covid19 issues, she is already #HighRiskCovid19. Please Please #StayHome (thread)

My 3 brothers and myself are the Lung version of Alpha 1. We are #HighRiskCovid19. Two of the four of us take treatments and have had previous instances. Two are hourly workers, two are contract workers, all are anxious about what's to come. You might not be high risk...

but you could be a carrier, and just being around others that have immune issues, have transplants etc you might not even know are around you and you could be hurting those that you love the most without knowing. Take precautions, wash your hands, and #StayHome unless you must go

People have asked why I would be public about this, I believe in transparency. I believe this has made me even more aware & in tune with my constituents who also have pre-existing conditions who don't feel they have a say or a fight in their healthcare. I will fight for You!
