I personally know an uninsured mother of 3 that had to wait until she was in so much pain before she finally checked into the ER, was quickly diagnosed with a cyst that blew on her ovary, given some medications and sent home. 4 days later she's in the other hospital across town..

actually taken seriously and taken and given proper tests, and ended up in the hospital for the last 5 days recovering and could of died if she wasn't taken care of. Because she wasn't insured, she was treated completely different and that happens to millions of Americans daily!

But we are actually very lucky in my part of the district because we actually have two hospitals within a 15 mile radius and 3 free standing ER departments. Most of my districts is rural with 1 hospital in a 40-50 mile radius if you are lucky and have lost 4 so far in 10 years.
