Frustratingly, heading into week six (6!) of kitchen reno (Britney, save us) but she's looking cute tho.

I had so much fun illustrating these 6 minerals! Thank you and for the opportunity 🪨

How do minerals get their names? A bunch of minerals in our collection have been named after their Scottish connections! Peter Davidson, Senior Curator of Mineralogy, explores these via Scottish folklore, Paris, kings and even Mars! Read all about it: nms.ac.uk/explore-our-co

The British media hate trans people so much that they turn to a man accused of multiple incidents of sexual violence against multiple women as voices of authority on women’s safety, in order that they can attack trans people and lie that trans people are a threat to anybody.

Hey Duolingo, it's been a real slice but you're just annoying now. In the words of Agnes: "release me, release my body". RIP my lovely streak 🫶🥹

This exposes that this isn’t about Gender Recognition Certificates at all. It’s a “debate” constructed to (a) feed a moral panic to garner support in unpopular times (b) be a wedge issue on wider social isses and (c) undermine trans people’s dignity & existent rights /1

Today, SNP MP Kirsty Blackman (@KirstySNP) asked Scottish Secretary Alister Jack to explain what a Gender Recognition Certificate is for ...and he couldn't. Says it all, really. You can read all our coverage of the block on Scottish gender reform here: thepinknews.com/news/politics/

Love seeing museums be more inclusive, especially with queer rights at risk 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Well done to V&A Dundee's LGBTQ+ Working Group for making the galleries more representative❤️ We need more of this and less risk averse cowardice out of fear of upsetting a few small-minded bigots.

Anyway “queer is a slur” is a dogwhistle for transphobia pushed by old TERFs who hate it for being too inclusive and tricked a whole generation of young people to parrot that thought. It’s been reclaimed since the late 80s, it is common academic. Outta here with this, Guardian
