Something else to think about in that incident a good section of the more liberal press started to create a myth of Rancho Villa a a revolutionary romantic hero. Like the blueprint for Castro and Che worship in late 60s
Actually Pancho Villa was covered pretty negatively in the US press at the time. He was viewed as dangerous and the raid of Columbus angered many outside of the border region
