Love that #GenX is trending. We heard the warnings of HIV AIDS, just said no, listened to the Greatest Generation and Boomers fight, put hip hop at the top of the charts, kept to outselves and said nothing. But we listened.

Before childcare accessibility or structured play activities—we were stuck in our homes with siblings or with a parent all the time!!! And we would play in our own yards. All safe activities until that sibling starting to unleash mischief and someone cried afterwards.
I got a tennis ball and practiced my pitching against the garage door when I was alone. I’d also set my VCR to record Yo!MTV Raps so I could catch K-Solo talk about his inner struggle in ‘Fugitive’. Being alone was awesome

I’d also go to Blockbuster by myself and look for the most jacked up horror flick or obscure foreign film I could find. After that was over I’d watch Headline News or Weather Channel until I fell asleep. Why did they call
