When I first started at PressPad, someone took me aside to let me know that it’s founder @OliviaCrellin was from a privileged background. I thought about it. My gut reaction was that at least she was doing something about the unfairness. She had a good idea and it was working.

I soon realised just how much she has put her money where her mouth is. I still remember the moment I was telling her how much debt I’m in from getting into journalism and she shared how much she was in. My jaw dropped, like a scene in a comedy film.

Although sadly it didn’t come out until after the crowdfunder, it perfectly explains why PressPad needs a coordinator. Now thanks to you guys, we can afford one and Olivia can go back to doing what she does best at the BBC!

(And earning better money so she can get herself out of debt)
