I think in the case of many of the rural voters it's still the case. I think us Americans get caught up in cities like London. Many people I know from rural areas have never left the island.
He’s not talking about the US. He’s talking about the UK and Europe. We are not the center of the world. I get that rural voters are ignored in US but this is a complete different topic. But should resonate. Rural voters should and have the right to explore.
Switzerland is not a member of the European Union, yet Swiss citizens have border free travel across most of Europe, access to the EHIC (public healthcare) across Europe, and have the right to work across Europe subject to common sense requirements.
The idea that the UK, the 5th largest economy in the world, who do the vast majority of its trade outside the European Union, are "ripping up" anything by leaving a political bloc is absurd and hysteria.
