Yep. And that's why I decided not to pursue a master's and PhD in history at UNM,Temple or Howard 10 years ago. In this age of STEM,majors that require actual thinking and writing are "irrelevant".

I think people are concerned about biases of these courses both on the right and the left. Unfortunately our culture has become so polarized we don't want to come face to face with something we don't like so we actively avoid it.

Have you filled out a online job application in the last 10 years. Online forms and screening questionaires are devaluing the accomplishment of finishing a college degree over making sure everyone being considered has one of about a dozen “combo meal” educations.
