THIS. THIS is why you needed to vote for Hilary. Every "i just don't *like* her" abstainer, every Bernie or bust wanker, every "politicians are all the same" apathetic fuck, this is your fault. This blood is on your hands.

Can we please, once and for all stop using the term "pro-life"? It's a lie. They are pro-forced birth or they are anti-choice, or anti-abortion. Any serious news media outlet needs to update their style guide immediately.

Thrilled to discover that my biannual post-Cannes trip to the motherland coincides with the Platinum Jubilee. I shall no doubt return home comprised entirely of coronation chicken and Battenberg.

Y’know what a great solution to mass shootings would be? Take the fucking guns away. All of them. Melt them down and turn them into something actually useful.

EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE is an absolute BLAST — a loud, craven, Evel Knievel thrill-ride of a movie with a BIG ASS HEART. The @Daniels have taken a generation’s love of ALL KINDS of cinema and folded it into the multiverse family saga we’ve all sorely needed. A THREAD👇🏿

Yes, @neonrated's FLEE is a great animated movie, and deserves to win that particular Oscar. There's a case to be made that it should win Best Documentary and Best International Feature as well. rollingstone.com/movies/movie-f

Second time this month a white critic has called an Asian-led film “exhausting.” Not an issue by itself, but it goes hand-in-hand with ignorantly glossing over specificities that make these movies resonate. That “Chinglish?” Not a flourish. That’s how my family spoke growing up.

Jonas Poher Rasmussen's FLEE is an extraordinary, emotional piece of work. I was lucky enough to see it on a big screen, but check it out however you can. (NB. Perhaps the only awards contender of the year to animate the poster for JCVD’s ‘Bloodsport’. And in a great context too)
