This is why we can’t have nice things. I was trying to take a picture of the lobster roll I ordered in Maine and well, this happened 😂🤦🏻♀️

$43 and one seagull attack later, I am now enjoying my first lobster roll at Fox’s Lobster House in York, Maine.

How awesome is this: when it rains lobster rolls, it pours lobster rolls for everyone the family! Thank you, for sending me, my parents and Nana lobster rolls! My 91-year-old Nana grew up on the shores of Nova Scotia, so this is a special treat. ❤️🦞

Thank you for sending my family a SUMMER’S WORTH of lobster rolls! Re-lived the moment that seagull stole my lobster roll with my parents in Denver today (but this time, no gulls). 🦞

It's been nearly 24-hours since a seagull pilfered my lobster roll in Maine and I still cannot stop laughing. Just wrapped an interview with that really captures the moment. If you need a laugh, you are welcome:

Just landed back in Los Angeles and see that the seagull and I are trending on Twitter. Needless to say, my trip to Maine was EPIC 😂🐦🦞

Happy #NationalLobsterDay! Needless to say, lobster changed my life in unimaginable ways this year. If you’re in Maine, have a lobster roll for me. And hang onto it.

It’s humbling when a picture you took made it to ’s Year in Pictures.
I’ve looked through the pictures, and I’ll say this: what a gift to snap one of a seagull eating a lobster roll. There’s much sadness in this world, so I hope mine brought smiles.

I learned my lesson in 2019, and ate my lobster roll indoors this time.
Thank you to Phyllis Fox and the Fox’s Lobster House family for the warm hospitality and good laugh.
This place will always remind me of the goodness that can come in the unexpected.
