To the person working on a big dream: There'll be days. Or years. Or decades, when you're just plugging along. You know in your heart what you're called to do, but are waiting for results. A day will come that it will all hit. And that day is fun. Really fun. Don't quit.

Congratulations to the for having ten teams with PERFECT APR scores this year, and an average APR of 990, which is above the NCAA average of 984. Pepperdine college athletes truly excel in the classroom and in the course of play.

Enjoy this Lakers v. Warriors series. Two of the greatest teams filled with the greatest athletes squaring off. What makes them great? They’ve won a ton, but still show up fighting to win more.

It's been 4 years since I've been back to Miami (!), but I'm headed back in just two weeks to record some podcast episodes. Taking a red eye flight that gets me in at 5 a.m., so there is a very clear first stop: a cortadito and empanada.

"One for the ages" is a statement that gets thrown around too much ins ports, but this Lakers v. Warriors series really has the potential to be one for the ages.

This is a question I should know the answer to, but why are the #1 Nuggets playing the #4 Suns and not the #6 Warriors or #7 Lakers?

Alo Yoga is getting some serious air time from Jimmy Butler rocking the brand's Performance Off-Duty Cap, which retails for $40, during tonight's Heat v. Knicks game. A fashionable ambush marketing moment.
This is the Collaboration Generation. Think how social media "creators" have changed--they layer existing content onto snippets to develop "new" content. The original creation is going extinct. In the end, the spoils will go to the rare ones who maintain ingenuity. 5/5

ChatGPT poses a threat greater than plagiarism: it creates an education setting where students don't push their creative and problem solving abilities. This may not seem like much. But consider the consequences to original thought, ideation and innovation. They are damming. 4/

I'm all for using resources, technology and efficiency. But not at the expense of developing the muscles of creativity and problem solving. This marked my 10th year in a college classroom. I've seen a steady decline in the last few years of creativity and problem solving. 3/

That Chegg is a company predicting nearly $200 MILLION in revenue this QUARTER should have sounded the alarm bells for the education sector: our students are increasingly relying on outside resources to accomplish what was once a personal task. 2/

The Nuggets did what they needed to do: picked up two wins at home. Who still thinks this is a one-person team? They're showing up.

This story always makes me sad. More than likely, this man played college football at some point and contributed to a multi-billion generating enterprise, but only had $200 to show. This is why fighting for the employee status of revenue producing college athletes is critical.

Negotiated with undrafted player one year, no agent. I said: "We'll do a 3-year deal with a $1,000 signing bonus. That work for you?" He was quiet, then said: "Mr. Brandt, I'm really sorry. I only have $200, but can get you the rest next week." "No, no," I said. "We pay you!"
