Don’t wanna pile on this person, but this tweet sums up the soft bigotry of low expectations rather well. Soft bigotry is too polite. It’s racism. It’s othering. It’s demanding ethnic minorities fit into her monoculture of choice.

It's dehumanising someone based on nothing more than surface attributes. You can disagree with someone's politics whilst still admitting their fundamental right to choose said politics. Identity politics is insidious because it becomes this - you look this way, you vote this way.
