I think it might have something to do with the eviction notice handed to illigal occupants of private land near Kayamandi. Might not be, but the court case was postponed last week so I assume that's the reason.pic.twitter.com/fRWUiXFwLM

Please refrain from posting racist comments. The point of the video is to point out the lack of civility in our country, not to perpetuate hateful narratives. Identity politics=ignorance whether it be on the right or the left.
27 arrested in violent Stellenbosch protest https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/27-arrested-in-violent-stellenbosch-protest-20181029 …?
Sad thing is that the world see this and therefore your qualifications means nothing!! They might laugh at you ......
What does a protest in a town have to do with the academic standards of a university? Surely young can't correlate the two??
so sorry
I watched the vid and thought it was something to do with the university. Never took the time to read properly.
Nah it's all good man
. We're all human, have a awesome day
.
Can the camera identify the prepetrators? If so, what about prosecuting them, expelling from the university and forcing to pay the damages?
These are not university students, they are protesters from an informal settlement nearby. I linked an article to the tweet with more information
Informal settlement???? ILLEGAL squatting...Stop with the politically correct words, they ARE what they ARE....ILLEGAL SQUATTERS...ENTITLED PEOPLE that think the WORLD OWES THEM...and...WHAT YOU HAVE IS THEIRS> STOP THE B.S.
Stellenbosch ok years ago, was a lovely part of #SouthAfrica. Beautiful vineyards and we visited a modern winery and an original wine making business.
It's still such a great place, it's sad that things like this happen now and again but overall Stellenbosch is heaven on earth compared to the rest of SA
Opened fire hydrant now here. Why? For what reason. Just a destructive nature?pic.twitter.com/fswFQ4c4p7
Now a cash in transit robbery, shots fired and vehicle blown up here in Vryheid. Just another day in the jungle?
Where is the police? Why are farmers pursuing CIT robbers? Is farmers more informed than the police? Or is the police just plain lazy and scared.
Involved most likely
With the Hawks coming, it might be a possibility.
